Midyear Membership Meeting

The Coalition's 2019 Midyear Membership Meeting will be held on June 3-4, 2019 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida.

The meeting will include an update on government affairs, legal developments, public outreach and research activities. Special presentations from experts on interesting anti-fraud issues also will be featured. Our agenda will include four special presentations:

"Engineering fraud from the perspective of a storm victim" by Doug Quinn of the American Policyholder Association;

"Fraud and punishment: Are courts getting more lenient?" by Michael Skiba, Ph.D. of Colorado State University;

"What’s next in dealing with assignment of benefits?" by Jay Adams, chief claims officer of Citizens Insurance; and

"Strangest arson case ever" by attorney Zach McCune from the law firm of Rolfes Henry.

The Membership Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 4 from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. On Monday evening, June 3, a reception will be held at the hotel beginning at 6 p.m.

The Coalition meeting will be held just prior to the annual training conference of the Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee (FIFEC), one of the premier anti-fraud training events in the nation, also being held at the Caribe Royale at June 5 - 7.
