Our privacy policy
Protecting your privacy is important to us, and we work to keep your personal information confidential at all times. Please read our privacy policy so you know how we protect your personal information.
How we collect
information
We collect information online and
offline in several ways. For instance, we might gather your contact
information when you write us with questions about fraud, or order
our research studies or consumer brochures.
If you subscribe to Insurance Fraud Weekly ePort or order public relations materials, we gather and store information such as your name, address and e-mail address so we can promptly send you these anti-fraud materials. Reporters are invited to submit contact information so we can send them news releases and other news material.
Credit card information sent online is not stored by or provided to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud. Payment is made through secure servers and handled exclusively by a banking entity hired by us.
We also collect anonymous information about visitors to our website so we can learn how useful each section of our website is to visitors. This helps us continually improve our website so it better serves visitors such as you. We only review this data in the aggregate, however, and never review data on individual visitors. Nor do we share individual data with outside organizations.
We may use cookies. These are small amounts of data sent to your browser by a Web server, and are stored on your hard drive to identify you and your usage patterns.
We don't use tools allowing third parties to perform "reverse searches" to identify individuals from e-mail addresses.
What we do with
your information
We don't sell, rent or trade your
personal information with any outside party, or share your e-mail
addresses with outside organizations.
We use an outside shipping company to ship orders. This company can use personally identifiable information only for shipping.
At times we may be required by law or legal process to share your personal information.
Opting Out
If you change your mind about receiving
subscriptions to our newsletters or other material, you can remove
your name from our database at any time. Simply click
here to e-mail us.
Links
Our website contains links to other
websites. We don't provide your personal information to the sponsoring
organizations, and aren't responsible for their privacy practices
or content. We suggest you familiarize yourself with their privacy
policies.
Security
All of our employees are fully aware
of our privacy policy, and are promptly informed of any updates.
The servers on which we store personally identifiable information
also are kept in a secure environment.
Updates
We'll promptly post changes in this
privacy policy on our homepage.
