Four in custody for door to door Medicare scam in Burke County

July 20, 2019, Burke County, GA — Investigators from CAVE, BCSO and WPD worked together to find more information on the individuals arrested for Medicare Fraud.

Investigators expect more charges as the investigation continues. Numerous people have contacted the BCSO to be interviewed tomorrow with WPD and CAVE.

In addition to the three arrested yesterday, a fourth person has been taken in to custody concerning medicare fraud. More details will be available soon.

The four men below have been arrested on the following charges:

31-year-old Rueban Ian Rice of Houston, Texas: 16-9-1(B) Felony Forgery in the First Degree. 16-4-1 Felony Criminal Attempt, Conspiracy, & Solicitation to defraud Medicaid

36 -year-old Thomas William Alwell of Augusta, Georgia: 16-9-1(B) Felony Forgery in the First Degree. 16-4-1 Felony Criminal Attempt, Conspiracy, & Solicitation to defraud Medicaid

65-year-old Mark Bradley Speigner of Houston, Texas: 16-4-1 Felony Criminal Attempt, Conspiracy, & Solicitation to defraud Medicaid

22-year-old Emery Alan Eubanks of Sesser, Illinois: 16-4-1 Criminal Attempt, Conspiracy, & Solicitation

UPDATE 7/20/2019: Three additional people have been arrested for Medicare Fraud Solicitation. They were found at an Augusta Hotel.

CAVE lead investigator William Loomer will be meeting with different agencies Monday.

More information should become available Monday.
